Welcome to my Weblog. This log is for book lovers and anyone who likes to read blogs. I'm a writer working on several novels and the occasional short story. I write mainstream contemporary fiction with the occasional twist, if it feels right for the story.
I love to write and I love to read. I'm as passionate about reading as I am about my work. Books are wonderful and I love the company of people who are avid readers or even occasional readers who read for the pleasure of it. It's always interesting and rewarding for me to hear the opinions of people who love to read.
Posting my thoughts and progress on the Web isn't the easiest thing to do. I love privacy and it's like baring my soul. But I felt it was important to open the lines of communications between readers and writers and this blog, in a small way, can help do that.
As a writer, it's important to set goals. My goal is to finish my first novel by the end of this year. I already have fiction and nonfiction writing in print but I always planned to spend the second half of my life writing novels, novels that would be included in New York Times bestseller list. I know that may sound ambitious, but I believe in setting my goals high and I have had good success in having other types of books published under another pen name, two of which have done well in their respective nonfiction genres.
Now you might think I want a bestseller because I'm thinking about the money, but that's not my main motivation, or even my second or third reasons for wanting a bestseller. I'm aiming high because I just think it's a good idea to be optimistic and because I hope to reach many readers through my stories. I also hope my books will do well enough that I can continue writing full time.
It's been hard work but very rewarding so far and I can't think of anything else I'd rather do for the next quarter century (or more).
