Mya Bell's
Contests for Book Lovers

Contest Info
What fun! I'm going to be having some contests for people who love books and reading. Prizes will include books in a variety of genres, some new, some collectible. There may also be some paintings of people reading, bookshelf clocks, bookmarks, bookplates, posters, and a few surprises.

How to Enter. To enter, all you have to do is go to a Web page and read a very short story or excerpt and answer some basic questions about what you've read. Then you sign up for the forum (no obligation to post or read in the forum, unless you want to, of course--it's just to prevent people from cheating and entering more than once). We have to ask a couple of questions so it's a skill-testing contest and not a lottery (it's not legal for us to run a lottery). If there is more than one entrant with the correct answers, the winner will be selected at random from correct entries.

Contest Starting Date. The first contest will be sometime in December 2004, so don't forget to check back. The book contests will probably be a choice from two or three (or more) books offered. In other words, instead of having a contest for a specific book, we'll provide several choices and the winner can pick the one he or she would most like to receive. Book winners will also get a free bookmark. You can keep the prizes for yourself or give them as gifts to your friends or relatives.
